Advertising Operations_Yield Analyst Wall Street Journal Digital, the world’s premier publisher of online business and financial news including The Wall Street Journal Online, Barron’s Online and MarketWatch, has an exciting career opportunity available within the advertising operations group. This position is accountable for compiling, analyzing and reporting on online pricing and inventory trends to support key decisions about the company’s sales programs and to understand past performance. Responsibilities span the sales, operations and inventory departments of Wall Street Journal Digital. The focus of this position is to provide both ad hoc, and scheduled reporting on revenue and delivery across all online products and placements for the operations group, as well as management.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Analyses sales data pulled from RAPT Business Advisor •Works with sales teams, site general managers and other users to maintain Business Advisor dashboards, and provide analytic support to those groups. •Analyses sales data from the Operative booking database to report on financial and industry trends •Utilizes historical data to support strategic decisions about new sales programs and •Works with the Ad Product Manager to determine effectiveness of product sales to support decision making for all new products and packages •Works with research to gather competitive intelligence •Responsible for ad hoc projects and analytics to assist management in evaluating various business opportunities •Analyze and manage remnant programs to optimize effective CPM Position Requirements Requirements:•6 months working within an online advertising operations team using one or more internet ad serving system (i.e. DART, 24/7, Real Media, etc.) preferred •Expert level Excel modeling experience •Ability to work independently as well as with a team •Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines •Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities •Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, over email and on the phone •Strong project management and organizational skills. •Detailed oriented and highly motivated •Strong computer applications skills (Excel, Word, Access – required) •BA/BS College degree strongly preferred For immediate consideration please apply directly to: http://careers.peopleclick.com/careerscp/client_dowjones/external/gateway.do?functionName=viewFromLink&jobPostId=9666&localeCode=en-us
