Advertising Traffic Coordinator

The Financial Planning Association, the premier association for the financial planning community, has an exciting opportunity for a Advertising Traffic Coordinator.  This position will work with a highly motivated sales force and be an intricate part of a dynamic team.

Job Purpose: Provide internal support to corporate sales team who are responsible for all sales of print, online advertising, sponsorships and exhibits. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø  Ad trafficking and insertion handling for the Journal.

Ø  Handles all billing, aging and collections calls/letters for Journal, web advertisers and sponsorships.

Ø  Writes and helps create monthly marketing e-newsletter for potential and current advertisers and institutional members, maintains and runs mailing lists for e-newsletters and media kits.

Ø  Provides assistance with sponsorships and exhibit efforts.

Ø  Works with art director to ensure specifications of advertisers are met.

Ø  Works with sales director, art director to review blue lines of each issue of the Journal.

Ø  Maintains contact with clients and agencies for trafficking duties.

Ø  Creates annual schedule for insertion and material deadlines with Art Director.

Ø  Posts and maintains all website banner and e-newsletter ads

Ø  Creates and maintains mailing lists for advertisers and sponsors for value-added benefits.

Ø  Maintain and manage Market Share Report monthly working with IMS.

 

Qualifications:

Ø Minimum one year experience working on a publication, preferably in an advertising trafficking or support role.

Ø Bachelor’s degree required. (Preferably in Advertising/Marketing)

Ø Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ø Must have strong customer service experience.

Ø Must be able to work under strict deadlines.

Ø Association experience helpful.

Ø Must possess excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint office applications.

Ø Must be self–motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized and be excellent at multi-tasking.
