Analyst Relations Position
This position would support the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing business driving forward one of Microsoft's top strategic business initiatives: building greater trust in computing through tight integration/partnership with other Microsoft teams, and strong influence among the analyst community. The Microsoft Trustworthy Computing group specifically focuses on driving awareness around Microsoft's broad security and privacy efforts to strengthen user trust in computing across multiple audiences, including, technical, business, consumer, and elite audiences. In addition to working with various internal Microsoft Trustworthy Computing groups dedicated to these specific areas, the team works closely with many product groups and international business owners to ensure that the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing objectives and vision are represented appropriately in their PR/AR activities. We have a fast paced environment and will require close communication among team members and firm leadership decision-making abilities. The successful candidate is a team player, has great listening skills, takes initiative, has confidence and displays curiosity.
Responsibilities:
• Link between senior clients and account staff.
• Drives day-to-day client management and satisfaction, team development and maintains high-profile analyst relationships.
• Manages, motivates and develops their team members.
• Play integral role in strategic planning process, ensure that plans integrate with other PR plans in client organization, and proactively adapt plan to reflect change to business and market.
• Drives team to initiate regular contact with analysts and other senior-level influentials.
• Drives team to deliver information and results from senior-level influentials analysis and information relevant to their audiences.
• Oversee team’s service to industry influentials.
• Manage client satisfaction. Hold regular meetings and/or maintain regular phone or written contact to keep key clients apprised of WE work progress, address issues that appear and solicit feedback from clients, and assess AR results against client expectations. Manage the development of client scorecards and resulting actions.
• When called for, manage crisis communications. Anticipate potential challenges and develop a plan to put forth appropriate positioning to minimize negative perception.
• May forecast, propose and track budgets. Manage single or multiple accounts in the client(s) budget.
Years of Experience:
At least 5 years experience in AR – in an agency and/or within the high tech industry – providing public relations consulting service to high technology clients. 7-8 years experience preferred.
