Associate Media Director

The Associate Media Director’s role is a leadership role as well as a managerial one. This person sets the working style for the group and is directly responsible for the media work and planning operations for the assigned accounts. The AMD also provides strategic media direction for assigned accounts and should understand all aspects of their client’s business as well as the overall technology/competitive landscape. The AMD is responsible for the creation and negotiation of client contracts as well as the management of account profitability. The AMD should cultivate client and media relationships specifically at senior levels.

Responsibilities:
Build and maintain client relationships Insure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc. Managing the planning team with the preparation, development, execution, and monitoring of media plans Ensure the planning team delivers and executes strategic, sound media plans Supervise and review development and implementation of all plans Train, motivate, develop and help to evaluate team members Help to create and negotiate yearly client contracts and supplemental proposals and manage account profitability Direct planning, review and new business processes Be able to provide and discuss industry information on media, markets and related dynamics Grow business opportunities within current clients


Qualifications:
Prior experience over 8 years in media and/or client service Proven ability to lead and manage a team Strong client service ability and comfort Strong analytical and communication skills A strong interest in media, strategy and branding A desire to break ground beyond the traditional media landscape The ability to ask questions, be curious and create excitement Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through Must be extremely articulate and show professionalism
