Award Winning Internat Retailer Seeks Experienced Online Marketing Manager

TigerGPS.com, Ltd. is the leading online retailer of consumer GPS (Global Positioning Systems) and other related marine and consumer electronics. Founded in 2001, the company is growing rapidly. We operate out of our New York sales office, located at 29th St and 8th Ave (two blocks from Penn Station).

Tiger GPS was the 9th fastest growing retailer in America, as well as the 10th fastest growing private company in New York. Tiger GPS has also ranked in consecutive years on the 2006 and 2007 “Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide,” a survey of the largest U.S.-based retailers who sell online, ranked by sales.

We operate in a casual, friendly, and close-knit small office environment, and are hiring immediately for the following position:


Senior Marketing Associate (Manhattan Office)


Primary responsibilities include:Email marketing - create, target, and report on frequent email campaigns using advanced software for list targeting and campaign management. Affiliate marketing - manage affiliates on a one-to-one level to offer incentives and grow the campaign and to police affiliates who abuse the program. Shopping portal management - assist with management of which products appear on which shopping sites (such as Pricegrabber.com, Shopping.com, etc) using feed management software. Graphics and art for use in campaigns and on web site - the key here is that you have an eye for good web and promotional graphic design. If you have the skills to create this art (i.e. Photoshop and Flash), it is a huge plus, but it is sufficient to simply manage a third-party designer (either in-house or outsourced) to make sure the requisite graphics are created effectively and in a timely manner. Print ads - assist in the selection and management of ads in major national magazines, including assisting with budget planning.

If you are able to handle any of the following secondary responsibilities, we will also view this very favorably in terms of compensation:Search Engine Optimization - assist existing personnel with web content creation to optimize natural search rankings. Search Engine Marketing - assist existing personnel with oversight of third-party managers of pay-per-click marketing campains on major search engines (Google, Yahoo).

This is a full-time position, on-site at our New York City office. Our close proximity to Penn Station makes commuting from New Jersey or Long Island very convenient. College education is strongly recommended, although all candidates with outstanding credentials will be considered. We are looking for creativity, exceptional people skills (as you will be interacting with many people within the organization), friendliness, patience, and a sense of humor.

This is a saliaried position, and compensation will range broadly depending on skill set, experience, and work history from $40,000-$80,000. We are looking to hire someone immediately. Health insurance provided by Oxford is available.

Finally, it is important to note that as a rapidly growing company, there are significant advancement opportunities. As our marketing department grows and the positions become more specialized, senior staff will have the first opportunity to be promoted.
