Great opportunity for the right candidate! In this Accounting position you will be responsible for the accurate and timely billing of work associated with our Sturtevant, Wisconsin office.

IMS is currently seeking a Billing Analyst - Great Benefits offered!

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Run, analyze and maintain an open order report for past due merchandise. Contact vendors and/or salespeople as needed.
• Gather, generate, and maintain information for billing our clients and internal sources
• Vouch vendor invoices for all blank goods, refer any discrepancies to AP Clerk for resolution
• Code and vouch UPS electronic invoice used by vendors to ship to IMS
• Submit orders for invoicing and enter billing information into the database
• Retrieve and distribute customer invoices
• Prepare and enter journal entries
• Assist with freight, monthly account reconciliations, and month end close
• Create invoices, file unpaid invoices waiting for payment, match AP checks with invoices, and mail checks
• Assist supervisor in physical inventories and with special projects


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Experience with billing and account reconciliations is required. The individual will interact with managers, estimators, and vendors therefore, strong problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills are vital. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word and experience with JD Edwards (AS400) is highly desirable. An ability to effectively apply accounting concepts, especially regarding internal control, to a fast-paced business setting is vital for success in this position. The person must work independently, and be detailed-oriented with a sense of urgency and follow through.
