We are currently seeking a BROADCAST MEDIA BUSINESS MANAGER, who will be responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with business affairs for the agency.  The Business Manager works in a highly collaborative environment to manage vendor relations, estimating, invoicing, billing, working with talent, and labor unions. This position will report to the Director of Global Creative Services.

 

Responsibilities:

 Open Production JobsPrepare rough range estimates with producerAttend pre bid meetingsPrepare spec’s that supplement and strengthen producer’s spec’sAnalyze production and editorial bidsKnowledge of AICP and AICE as well as SAG, AFTRA, AFofMKnowledge of Donavan estimating systemsNegotiate with suppliers in cooperation with the agency producerLiaise with client’s cost consultantsPrepare agency estimateHandles issuance of contracts, purchase orders and talent session reports Approve invoicesInterface with client accounting, Account Management and Legal Negotiate and report cost overagesAssure that Project DaVinci and/or client purchasing policies are followedRevise estimates to insure billabilityFollow the job through completion and close jobs in a timely manger

 

Requirements:

 Bachelors degree7-10 years business management role in advertising agency environmentPrevious supervisory experience of team up to 5 or more peopleKnowledge of Donovan estimating systems strongly preferredProven experience in analyzing production and editorial bidsAbility to estimate session fees and oversee talent servicesKnowledge of AICP and AICE as well as SAG, AFTRA, AFofMPractical knowledge of all talent union contractsExperience working with  industry talent payment providers (e.g. Talent partners or Spotlight) for payment scheduling Experience in issuance of contracts, purchase orders and talent session reports Ability to interface with a variety of different departmentsGreat sense of humor absolutely required
