We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Director for our Social Market position in our Santa Barbara office.This positions's primary focus will be on the Go Red For Women Luncheon and Gala with key responsibilities to include managing a year-round fundraising campaign; building relationships with corporate sponsors; recruiting, partnering with, and managing volunteer leadership; and implementing, managing and evaluating events that bring together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers to raise funds and awareness for heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #3 killer in America. This position is directly responsible for raising $391,000 net and reports to the Executive Director. Qualified applicants will have:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience* 2+ years of successful fund raising, outside sales, business development, and/or marketing experience* Proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals* Demonstrated ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management* Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment.* Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills* Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the greater Bay Area and work evening and weekends on occasion.
