Business Unit Sourcing & Procurement Director

One of the World’s largest advertising and marketing services company in New York City seeks Business Unit Sourcing & Procurement Director

 Position Summary:

Align the goals and objectives of Global Sourcing &Procurement with companies business segments to optimize supplier spend and propel shareholder value. Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and with respective senior leadership within the business unit. Direct and coordinate efforts of business unit stakeholders insuring positive direction towards companies goals and achievement of significant savings targets. Management of business unit specific procurement activities across the region with the goal to facilitate increased efficiency and improved performance. Utilize e-procurement tools in the execution of sourcing initiatives.  

 

Responsibilities:

*Develop and execute operational strategies

*Manage and deliver on strategic sourcing engagements.

*Develop and foster strategic sourcing.  Continually seek opportunities to aggregate spend and drive deeper

*Interact with multiple levels of  management, providing progress updates and/or discuss sourcing obstacles. Provide performance on sourcing and program management utilizing metrics to quantify results.  Utilize Six Sigma methodology when possible to improve processes and procedures and gain financial benefits.

 

Education and Experience *Bachelors Degree (Top Tier University)

*MBA and CPM designation desirable

*10 years experience in a progressive global strategic sourcing environment

*In-depth knowledge and experience with the state-of-the-art methods and tools of professional purchasing

*Working understanding of technology issues related to hardware, software and IT professional services

*Experience in people management a must

*Strong international exposure
