CPG Promotions Account Director needed for major promotions agency
You and The Client
Brand champion, leading strategy development for Kraft account
Responsible for growth and profitability of Kraft account
Integral member of brand team with the agency and the client in developing and managing client business.
Leads the development of strategic solutions (sales promotions, event marketing, sponsorship activation, and appropriate media support) which build brand equity and deliver results for Kraft.
Plans and executes assignments that are on strategy, on time and on budget
Ensures that the financial aspects of the programs/account(s) are managed according to agency procedures
Leads account service and cross discipline agency team in developing and delivering exceptional programs, flawlessly executed while meeting client needs.
Develops and delivers compelling client presentations
Managing and overseeing key business unit (Pizza/Mac and Cheese, Grocery) for Kraft (basically running this business)
IMC (Kraft's Integrated Marketing Communication planning process) planning 70%
Creative development and execution 30%
Providing strategic thought leadership and CP point of view to planning process at Kraft (IMC-Integrated Marketing Communications)
Managing revenue for business unit and identifying new growth opportunities
Managing client budgets
Writing and developing marcom plans-with focus on consumer promotions
Leading, developing and training account management staff (AM, AE, AAE)
Partnering with creative team and developing solid working relationships
Building solid client relationships with key senior executives at Kraft-CP is agency counterpart (Consumer Promotion Directors, Category Managers, Associates, etc, also work with Brand Directors, Brand Managers, ABM, etc)
Reviewing promotional creative work product relative to FSIs, Shelf Talks, Floor Graphics, etc.
Managing execution of promotional programs such as games, contest, sweeps and how that comes alive at retail
Understanding the role of promotion within the marketing mix and ability to demonstrate it's value
Leading, directing and contributing to agency concepting/brainstorming sessions and client/agency brainstorming
MUST POSSESS
STRONG client relationship building skills (know how to probe, question, challenge, get to know clients outside work environment, be empathetic to client challenges, know what challenges they face and if not ask, demonstrate deep understanding of their business and issues, etc)
Passion for this business, interest in promotion
Strong voice representing the Consumer Promotion perspective at the IMC table
Ability to work across disciplines with other agency counterparts (PR, Media, Advertising, Digital)
BIG IDEA thinker, must be able to brainstorm and think at the 30,000 foot level
Integrated experience is a plus, but should be familiar with sampling, mobile tours, and all in store communication vechicles
Must have an opinion-must have experience to support
Must be able to speak up, challenge, influence, persuade and convince. Must know when to push back and when to fold. Must know how to do this respectfully.
