You have the ability to develop project timelines, manage multiple projects through execution and manage team responsibilities.  Additionally, management of vendor relationships is an essential part of this role, to include negotiations, forecasting production costs (labor & production) and other costs as needed.  You possess a thorough understanding of how agency processes and internal agency departments in tandem, include finance, production, creative, interactive, and media.  In support of client and agency coordination, you must have the ability to manage client and agency expectations through written and verbal communications and have meticulous project management skills and ability to understand instructions and take direction.  You have a strong understanding of advertising and communications/marketing and may have experience in the African-American consumer market or multicultural/urban consumer market, with experience the packaged goods brand category and an interest in flair in ethnic haircare and AA beauty/cosmetics. Your work style possesses team building spirit, a pleasant disposition and positive attitude as well as an energetic personality of high integrity. Essential Functions and Core Responsibilities:• Manages agency accounts in packaged goods brand category (food, beverage and beauty brands)• Provides oversight at the account supervisor and management supervisor level of client advertising; prefer someone who has worked in the general market advertising catagory but understands and has knowledge of targeted market advertising to the african-american consumer market• Assures the quality of the work in the agency meets and exceeds clients expectations• Ability to develop project timelines and manage multiple projects through execution• Ability to manage responsibilities of team and manage the vendor relationships required to successful complete projects, as assigned• Executes duties and assignments as directed in compliance with corporate guidelines and objectives.• Responsible for client satisfaction and subordinate internal team development and retention• Works in conformance with Agency policies, procedures and public law.• Maintains awareness and controls situations which may lead to the risk of write-offs, as well as increases opportunities to maximize advertising services for clients and increase account revenue• Assures that Client relationships remain harmonious and that the Clients receive a quality of service which will encourage further growth and profitability.• Maintains harmonious agency relationships and partners with other senior staff members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment that remains positive and business-like at all times• Attends appropriate business/social functions which may enhance the image of the agency, reveals growth opportunities, identify risks to the business, or solidify client relationships.• Participates in new business efforts; and advises of the potential for new business opportunities.• Other responsibilities, as assigned and as needed Position Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education with an emphasis on marketing/advertising or media communications• 5-7 years of related advertising agency experience for a mid-size to large sized nationally recognized advertising agency, on nationally recognized large brands; has worked on brands that are currently running ads on broadcast television, radio, in print and interactive, preferably with an emphasis in packaged goods brand category, grass-roots awareness and promotional tours and progressively measured communications and outreach programs.• Ability to partner successfully and collaboratively in a highly creative and passionate environment and maintain positive work relationships and professionalism at all times• A team-building as well as a team-player, with a hard-working attitude with lots of  integrity; thorough knowledge of the advertising discipline• Experience and/or understanding of the African American consumer market is a plus but experience and a strong understanding of the multicultural/urban consumer market is essential• Clean driving record, verifiable work history and satisfactory credit historyCarol H.
