We have an excellent opportunity for a Cause Marketing Director in our Grand Rapids office.The Director will lead local activities to expand awareness of and build the brand for the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women, Child Obesity, and START! causes for the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo markets. Director will also provide consultation for causes in the mid-Michigan area.Responsibilities include: Plan and execute local events and buzz marketing tactics to drive awareness. Ensure the American Heart Association meets deliverables for local cause sponsors. Volunteer recruitment and management. Work with American Heart Association's fundraising and communications staff to ensure cause activities are appropriately branded and well-integrated. Identify partners that can effectively promote both causes and generate additional resources. Communicate progress on both causes to American Heart Association's staff and volunteers.Hiring salary range is up to 50,000.About the causes: The American Heart Association's Childhood Obesity cause is designed to stop the increasing prevalence of childhood obesity in the United States by 2010 by fostering an environment that helps all kids pursue a healthy lifestyle.
