Clinical Services Manager

II.  Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Services Manager is to traffic active jobs between the project management team and clinical services to assure timelines are met.

· Communicate with project managers regarding project deadlines to ensure timelines are met

· Effectively communicate with clinical services team so they understand the time frame in which a project must be written, reviewed, or changed

· Manage the workflow for writers and operations

· Route jobs internally and keep track of the status of each

· Manage a daily clinical “hot sheet”

· Work with the clinical services team to determine the best work-flow, establish procedures accordingly and implement them

· Responsible for assuring clinical services and powerpoint support are available according to workload and securing additional resources for copyediting, writing, and graphics if needed

· Responsible for version control of powerpoint presentations

· Ensure process compliance

 

III.  Position Requirements:

 

Education or Equivalent:

A Bachelor’s degree is required.  2-4 years prior experience with Medical Education Company or Advertising Agency.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

Knowledge of AMA style helpful. In addition, the candidate should be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Research skills on PubMed are a plus.

Flexibility to work extended hours if needed required.

 

Physical/Mental Requirements:

A great deal of walking is required.

 

Business Environment: 

Office is heated and air-conditioned; under normal circumstances, no unusual working conditions.
