Special Training: Candidate must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a concentration in Economics, English, Journalism, Communications, Business, or Public Affairs/Government. Prefer student with a general interest and understanding of the Federal Reserve System, financial markets and business; public affairs and media relations; global current events and the economy. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and computer usage with a proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Internet research required. Experience with handling public inquiries and relating with the public. Remarks: Student will be assigned to the Office of Board Members, Public Affairs section. Duties will include responding to inquiries from the public. Perform research in support of project assignments. Compile and distribute newsclips, press releases, statistical releases and other office documents. General office work, which includes answering the phone, copying and faxing, etc. Assist with the daily functions of the PA office to ensure sufficient and timely workflow. Must be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week (maximum of 40 hours per week) and must be able to work both Mondays and Fridays. Students enrolled in graduate degree programs preferred.
