Exterran is seeking a Communications Manager (Internal) for our Houston, TX location.



 Primary Responsibilities and Assignments

Designs and executes communications programs to engage audiences and build alignment internally and externally with Exterran's vision and strategy. Works closely with HR, IT, and others to craft communications and communications plans for their audiences. Plays a key role in the development of company magazines, newsletters, and other wide-audience communications for internal audiences. Researches and provides content for the company's intranet and the external website; functions as one of the approvers for site content offered by others. Works closely with the entire communications team to support the function's strategy and mission.
 

Education and Certification
Required:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, English, journalism or related field.

Desired:Bi-lingual or experience with international communications highly desired
 

Specific Work Background/Experience
Required:Minimum of ten years experience in corporate/business communications, public relations or media; agency experience also desirable Documented experience in producing communications, to include feature stories, executive speeches, newsletters, employee bulletins, videotapes, broadcasts, scripts, multi-media presentations, websites and special meetings and events. Experience in planning and producing communications supporting internal and/or external stakeholders of a major corporation. Experience in articulating policy and messages from senior management, product managers, and subject matter experts for external and internal audiences. Ability to design and recommend communications programs to raise awareness and earn recognition for company programs, initiatives, products and services; and to build alignment internally with corporate vision and strategy. Experience in tracking and analyzing results to determine effectiveness and make modifications to these programs as necessary.
