Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager The Strategy, Research & Innovation (SRI) organization is seeking to add a Senior Manager for Competitive Analysis to its Competitive Intelligence (CI) team.  This team offers leadership an objective, informed view of external developments affecting competition for professional services.  As a member of this team, the CI Senior Manager identifies, conceptualizes, and prepares oral and written presentations that communicate the team's views to the organization's decision makers.  These presentations integrate information from a wide variety of sources, including published information, client service professionals, and business development executives.    Each CI Senior Manager serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for competitive issues associated with one of our four world-class businesses.  This CI Senior Manager will serve as subject matter expert for the Audit and Enterprise Risk (AERS) business, which-in addition to performing financial statement audits-offers a growing portfolio of risk management and advisory services.  These services include:  - internal audit - security and privacy consulting - controls assurance - corporate governance - regulatory consulting - venture capital and global offerings consulting - capital markets and financial consulting  AERS also participates in the Mergers & Acquisitions Integrated Service Offering, which brings together practitioners from across the Deloitte US firm's core businesses to serve the needs of clients undertaking business combinations.    As needed, each CI Senior Manager will also collaborate with colleagues in the Strategy, Research & Innovation organization who support industry and regional leaders; supply marketing, pursuit, and engagement teams with company-specific intelligence; and assess the market for new and innovative services. - Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 yrs with one of the following: a large professional services firm; corporate strategy & planning department; or a competitive intelligence role - Ideal candidate will have previous Big 4 work experience in service delivery, sales, marketing, research or intelligence, preferably supporting the Audit and Enterprise Risk business. - Must have demonstrated noteworthy critical thinking and analytic skills as well as superior ability to communicate both orally and in writing to an audience of senior executives - Must have significant experience in intelligence analysis, corporate business development, or strategic planning - Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team - Background will include significant experience preparing strategy briefs, research notes, and/or presentations to executive leadership covering large, complex business or governmental organizations. - Experience as member of a virtual team collaborating across multiple business functions - Extensive writing experience communicating complex ideas clearly and concisely in prose and PowerPoint - Candidates will be expected to submit writing samples and undergo a timed writing evaluation. - A Master's Degree is required.  A major course of study in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, or Operations Research is also preferred, although candidates whose major course of study required intensive critical analysis and writing-for example, History or Political Science-may be considered. - CPA or comparable professional designation a plus - Computer literacy is a must About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
