Conference Coordinator
Small, unique company seeks positive, motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in the production and administration of business conferences and events.
Company: Renaissance American Management, Inc.
Location: Tyler, TX 75701
Salary/Wage: Starting out at $12/hr plus profit-sharing; Salary commensurate with experience
Status: Part Time or Full Time (up to 35 hours) until June 30, then Full Time Employee thereafter
Education Level: Associates Degree (or equivalent work experience)

Job Title: Conference Coordinator
Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities:
- Manage in-office conference administration procedures
- Manage the database
- Manage and update the website
- Communicate with conference speakers and sponsors to compile documents and produce a conference documents book
- Assist in hotel and AV contract negotiations
- Manage audio/visual, food, beverage, and room setup
- Prepare and design promotional materials
- Manage and prepare conference supplies
- Manage details of the conference off and/or on-site (ability to travel is preferred but not required).
Requirements:
- Experience in the event planning/coordinating industry is preferred, but not required.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally is peferred but not required--about 5 weeks total over the course of a year - some paid weekends included
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and to work under tight deadlines
- Attention to Detail
- Proficiency in the following programs:
o Microsoft Word
o Microsoft Access
o Microsoft FrontPage
o Microsoft Excel
- Must be open to additional side projects
