Job DescriptionIn this role the US Panel Manger is primarily responsible for the ongoing health of the US online recruited MegaPanel. Key responsibilities are to support corporate budget targets by maximizing acquisition and retention of panel members and creating a panel brand and community to support that goal. In order to achieve that goal the Panel Manger must create and utilize key panel performance metrics to evaluate overall panel value and effectiveness. These metrics will have to measure acquisition rates and costs, panelist retention, panel composition, incentive impact, tenure and value data as well as ongoing panelist satisfaction. This is a visible, senior level position within Nielsen Online and as such it will require substantial interaction with operational teams as well as internal panel clients and external vendors and partners. The Panel Manager will regularly communicate with Nielsen Online managers to develop long-term strategic plans for the panels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Development of panel size reports and forecasts/budgets Development of quarterly/annual business plans with the Panel Management team Participate in the specification and development of our panel management infrastructure software Ownership of the respondent experienceo Panelist surveying including exit survey management and reporting Manage retention of panelists through panel management best practiceso Responsible for the content, look and feel of panelist websiteo Creation of panelist marketing materials including e-newsletters, quick polls, screening surveys, incentive opportunities, charitable relationshipso Development of win-back programs for panelists who stop participating Creation and management of reports to measure panelist retention, lifetime value, demographic profiles Development of quarterly/annual business plans with the Panel Management team Investigate and implement panelist incentive and loyalty program and redemption options including partnerships with outside vendors Support development and updating of panelists legal documents including panelist privacy policy, incentive rules, and terms and conditions Coordinate and provide documentation and panel training to internal clients Work with other Nielsen Panel teams to cross-market and investigate operational efficiencies Manage two direct reports: Panel Acquisition Coordinator and Panel Analyst and support the helpdesk teamQualifications" Experience recruiting and maintaining customers/members in a market research panel or e-commerce/community website/e-zine business" Email marketing campaign development and tracking " Site traffic metrics experience" Brand or product management experience preferred" General understanding of market research principles" Online marketing and promotions background " Excellent project management and leadership skills" Excellent communication and presentation skills" Attention to detail, accuracy and follow through" Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
