Copywriting Internship - Full Time, Paid

We are seeking a full-time Copywriting Intern to work on special projects and assist in the creation of our catalog and web content. This position requires a solid command of the written word along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:History. You will organize our archives and help assemble/edit/update our history story; help build a timeline, and contribute to the content and design of a web history section.Proofreading. You will review final catalog pages for style issues (such as apostrophes, bad breaks, formatting–we'll provide a laundry list), and enter corrections into the QuarkXpress file.Company Newsletter. You will interview subjects, write articles, and edit text.CMS/Web Entry. You will update copy for Hammacher.com and SkyMall web to improve the relationship between group copy and product copy. You will enter copy into an Excel spreadsheet or our CMS and proof web pages. No HTML experience required.Product Copy. You will write copy for web exclusive and NY store exclusive products.

 

Required Skills:

·  Undergraduate Student

·  Minimum – 3.3 GPA

·  Experience with MS-Word and Excel

·  Excellent word processing skills

·  Familiarity with Mac preferred

·  Familiarity with proofreading marks.

·  Experience with Quark Express is a plus

·  Flexible to work with changing priorities

·  Possesses enthusiasm, creativity, and curiosity
