Corporate Communications Representative

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of an internal communications team in a collaborative environment; be exceptionally organized; possess excellent, proven written and oral communication skills
Must understand different communications channels and appropriate uses of each, including meetings, Web sites, Portal content, video (including internal television), newsletters, and broadcast e-mails; write comprehensive, concise materials to support the Company’s employee communications objectives
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships within assigned business unit and across business units
Must have the ability to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of key business unit drivers, strategic goals, and concerns in order to provide appropriate communications support; work and problem solve with diverse groups.
The candidate will be responsible for:
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with business unit and field leaders
Creating targeted, integrated employee communications for business units to help increase employee engagement
Providing counsel to managers to help them improve their face-to-face communication skills
Highlighting stories that might be appropriate for additional internal use (such as video stories) and external media to pick up
Supporting various employee communications initiatives as part of the Internal Communications team.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Communications or related field. Minimum 2 or more years of experience in Employee Communications or related field. Proficient in use of word processing and graphic presentation applications (Microsoft Office Products).
