DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The Corporate Supply Chain Manager for business services is responsible for sourcing and managing the supply chain for $100 million annual spend for indirect categories that support corporate administration, finance, human relations, legal, marketing and risk management functions. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Management. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Identify and/or develop best-in-class suppliers. Lead sourcing teams made up of representatives from key Vertis business units. Coordinate with corporate, regional and local management to insure thorough understanding of customer requirements. Analyze historical spend data to identify opportunities for Corporate Supply Chain Management initiatives. Initiate Requests for Proposal (RFP) including the use of electronic reverse auctions, when appropriate. Reduce total acquisition costs through effective negotiations, value analysis and process improvements. Monitor actual spend for assigned indirect categories to insure negotiated cost savings are realized. Solicit internal customer feedback to insure suppliers are meeting Vertis expectations. Administer national contracts to insure compliance by all parties. Develop scorecards to communicate actionable feedback to suppliers and generate periodic reports that track progress toward achieving goals. Required Skills Excellent negotiator. Highly organized, analytical and detail oriented. Ability to think   “outside the box” and come up with innovative solutions. Good written and oral communications skills. Able to interface successfully with people at all levels of Vertis as well as suppliers.Required Experience Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred. Ten years of relevant purchasing and negotiation experience. Prior purchasing experience working for a manufacturing company, printing industry experience a plus.
