Creative Design & Support

One of Central Virginia’s fastest growing corporate identity and uniform providers has an opening in their Richmond Office.


As Creative Design & Support you will encompass a wide range of media formats including the creation of visual materials for promotional products, apparel, print marketing, look books, and other collateral.  Individual will be responsible for maintaining image library and complete image and logo requests from customers, vendors and sales team. This position requires a multi-tasker and independent worker who will perform both graphic design tasks and office administration. From online stores to sizing a corporate logo for imprint on merchandise, this individual must coordinate work flow between the sales staff and our vendor suppliers. Applicant should be proficient in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.


Duties:Manage product photography including scheduling and art directing photo sessions, maintaining photography files, and filling image requests from customers.Design layout concepts for customer catalogs and marketing vehiclesManage creative and design for company website.Ability to create and design simple to moderate projects using graphics software.  Ability to photograph product shots using digital camera and manipulate with software. Create power point presentations. Create innovative designs and determine layouts including photo selection, placement, theme, type selection, size, color and overall look and feel. Create mock-ups and drafts, utilize photography and convert artwork into digital/electronic images. Design catalogs, brochures, business collateral, packaging, logos, communication pieces, mailers, and other electronic and printed material. Archive artwork electronically for future retrieval from electronic graphic library. Proof materials prior to production. Use technology and other alternatives to improve quality and cost efficiency of creative projects. Communicate daily with General Sales Manager and sales team.

 

Candidates Must Have:

  Have working knowledge of PC-based programs such as Illustrator & Photoshop (CS3) to format and develop custom artwork. Creative and technical ability to execute projects with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with page layout and productionExcellent communication skills to produce monthly newsletters, email blasts, dealer announcements and promotions based on original art or utilizing templates Strong work ethic with the desire to learn Two years of professional experience in graphic design, creating visuals in a corporate setting. Experience creating online graphics and converting artwork into electronic files. Good communication skills with a willingness to share ideas and contribute to a collaborative effort. High degree of initiative with ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to handle stress under multiple deadlines.Must have a good attention to detail, have good organizational skills, and exercise flexibility in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.




 

Education/Experience:

 

Associates degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in fine arts, business, marketing or other related field; and one to two years related experience and/or training.
