Creative Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  CREATIVE SUPERVISOR

We are currently looking for a Creative Supervisor to join the Advertising team at our Corporate Office in Kent, OH. 

 

Position Overview:
A Carter Lumber Creative Supervisor is responsible for creating and maintaining the Carter Lumber brand along with sales support tools for corporate and field communications.  Oversees the planning and supervision of daily operations for the Advertising Department.  Works with members of the Marketing and Product Management Departments and others to ensure continuity in our marketing message.  A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position. 

 

Being part of the Carter Lumber team means that you will:Set the direction for the advertising department through the development of growth plan, budget and department goals Hires, evaluates and develops Advertising Department staff Create and design all brand marketing initiatives for the company Ensure that all brands are managers following the store standards set for company identity Develop and maintain sales support tools including; flyers, ads mailers in-store displays, websites and other projects as directed Act as an in-house advertising agency for stores and customers and present creative solutions to assist in growing their business Communicate throughout all levels of the organization to ensure continuity in the company’s marketing message

Requirements to join the Carter Lumber team:

· 5+ years supervisory experience in the creative and marketing field; building materials knowledge a plus

· Working knowledge of a Macintosh computer including iLife ‘08

· Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 3 graphic software including: InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Acrobat Professional is required.  QuarkXpress is also preferred.

· Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 3 web design software including: DreamWeaver and FireWorks is required.  Flash is preferred.

· Working knowledge of digital photography and video editing is preferred

· Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks with changing priorities

· Good communication and presentation skills

· Proficient in Office 2008 for Mac including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Entourage

· Some travel required
