We are currently seeking an entry level Credit & Collections Clerk to join our Princeton, NJ team of professionals.  As the primary contact for all aspects of credit and collections for assigned accounts, this candidate will assist in general collection functions including: making A/R collection calls, reviewing A/R Agings to prioritize and drive collection efforts, coordinate resolution of outstanding disputed items with customer & sales teams, review and release new orders placed by assigned accounts as needed, and review delinquent accounts for additional holds or forwarding to 3rd party collection services.

 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Review incoming orders for credit worthiness utilizing Credit Hold processes within the systemReview & update credit hold criteria as needed to facilitate collections of past due accountsCollection of Balances Due as reported back from Adjustment Processes Update & Maintain Potential Bad Debt listing for assigned accountsDocument collection efforts by utilizing the Accounting Notes features of internal software systemAssist with special projects as required

 QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:2+ years in an office environment. Prior exposure to Accounting or Customer Service is a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel & WordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to demonstrate & maintain a professional and courteous manner Strong problem-solving ability and usage of effective listening skillsHigh level of attention to detailAbility to organize and prioritize multiple tasks/responsibilitiesMust be team-oriented
