Our  data team has an opening for a Database Marketing Manager

 

Primary duties will require the candidate to:

 Provide support and input on database and data driven marketing strategies;Implement database marketing projects and initiatives, and manage them to timely completion;Manage multiple projects with multiple timelines simultaneously, in a dynamic environment;Proactively identify and provide meaningful solutions to address problems at the project level;

· Prepare data quotes and purchase orders, and ensure timely billing completion;

· Author project briefs and status reports;

· Prepare reporting and analysis documents;

·  Participate in strategy meetings & client presentations, as required;Work with Production personnel, account teams and oversee vendor activities;Provide input on improving department processes and prepare documentation on department processes as required;Provide intradepartmental and interdepartmental support as required and requested by Senior Management staff;

 

The Database Marketing Manager is responsible for pricing all services the agency delivers for their assigned projects by calculating in-house charges through working with the various departments and requesting estimates from outside sources. This information is then incorporated in an estimate of costs, which is delivered to the appropriate account team and production supervisor.

 

The Database Marketing Manager (DMM) is responsible for providing input on database and data driven marketing strategies, implementing database marketing projects and initiatives as well as related analytic and reporting projects. This is done through interfacing with other departments and outside vendors who supply work to the agency on a freelance or contract basis.

 

The DMM is truly a seasoned project manager with experience managing multiple, detailed, short term and long term targeted Direct Mail projects. The ideal candidate will be able to think fast on their feet, exercise excellent judgment and can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Ultimately, the ideal candidate knows the importance of a team, being a team player, and maintaining a strong company image.

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

SKILL SET/KNOWLEDGE:Direct Mail Experience - 1-2 years preferredCreative problem solving and analytic skills;Advanced skills with Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint Significant proficiency with database applications such as SQL, Access, FoxPro.  (DBA/Programming experience NOT required)

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent; Minimum of 2 years experience in database marketing projects;Minimum of 2 years experience in data driven marketing;Minimum of 2 years experience in computer systems analysis;Minimum of 2 years Project Management
