DIRECTOR OF PUBLICATIONS

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITYTo direct and coordinate the writing, editing, and production of University publications, and oversee the graphics and design studio and marketing initiatives in the Office of Public Affairs.Qualifications: At least five years desktop publishing experience in an academic or professional setting. Three years of supervisory or comparable experience. Working knowledge of marketing trends and branding initiatives. Experience with writing and editing for professional and academic publications a plus. Experience in preparing University view books, recruitment bulletins, registration bulletins, and institutional and annual reports desirable. Macintosh desktop publishing experience required. Strong working knowledge of QuarkXpress and InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and related programs on a Macintosh platform desirable. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred. These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.
