Data Management Specialist

Seeking a Data Management Specialist to manage all internal databases; ensuring data integrity as it moves between departments.  Collects and renders meeting data in an appropriate manner for internal, external and client use.  Acts as System Administrator for Meeting Planning Software (EBMS). SQL database knowledge and pharmaceutical/agency experience required.

 

Responsibilities:

· Maintains and/or exceeds minimum billable utilization percentages for position level

· Works within and manages to assigned labor hours by job to ensure minimum standards of Service Level Agreement

· Responsible for accurately forecasting of hours for projects and managing same during project execution

· Design templates for entry of pre-meeting survey data and post-meeting reporting (Excel, Access).  Design any necessary documents for review of data (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

· Obtain project support data from partner organizations / clients and integrate into systems

· Centralize and maintain recruitment databases in easy-to-use, yet reliable and multiuser-friendly format

· Develop standard operating procedures for data management; instruct others in proper use and maintenance of databases

· Work as liaison between Client Services and Meeting Services teams to ensure integrity of data

· Maintain current software and IT knowledge; work with network IT department to identify ways in which teams can better utilize current and prospective technology

· Attend project briefing and kick-off meetings where Data Management services are required

· Maintain ongoing clear dialog with project team throughout life of the current project to evaluate progress and respond to any challenges or changes in the scope of the project

· Ensure that projects are coordinated within the allocated budget and notifies team of any anticipated overages in time and costs

· Thorough knowledge of how company currently handles data, where data is stored, and how it is used

· Provide reporting from our subscription databases and update downloads on a quarterly or annual basis dependent upon the subscription

 

 

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree 

· Strong experience with software packages in use at company, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access

· Knowledge of relational database design theory

· Experience with client-server SQL systems, particularly MS SQL Server

· Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or PHP helpful, but not required

· Demonstrates ownership and accountability for day-to-day activities on assigned projects

· Effectively works with and utilizes Agency resources on behalf of clients
