Deployment Project Manager/Director

The Deployment Manager will be responsible for devising the deployment strategies and processes for all applications, products and services being developed by the IDO organization. This includes oversight and management of the following: Working closely with business resources to develop a conceptual roll out approach and drilling that approach down into a very tactical set of release responsibilities Working with the Architects and Technical Work Stream Leads to define deployment requirements Developing/coordinating the execution of production readiness activities (i.e. online help, FAQs, release notes, etc) Defining and ensuring execution around configuration of the overall Answers environment Developing and executing a client order management process Developing an approach for creating a production support model, including policy, procedural and organizational adjustments that fit into existing 'Business as Usual' standards Engaging the business and IT organizations in readiness activities (e.g. Training, Pilot planning and execution, etc.) Engaging the client regarding the end to end site setup: users, roles, folders, content, security, etc Working with the Training Coordinator to schedule and setup application training. Creating detailed contingency plans and assess application readiness Managing all of the pilot (demo), testing, training and production setup activitiesQualificationsQualifications: " Expertise managing large application deployment efforts. " Solid comprehension of hardware, software, database technologies and networking solutions. " Ability to lead a team of 2-5 resources" Ability to work in partnership with Senior Management to develop deployment strategies. " Ability to successfully coach, evaluate and critique vendor work. " Ability to evaluate and critique technical staff " Ability to grasp and stay current with new technologies " Self-motivated, self-supervised and driven " Prior successful experience leading diverse teams including business and technology staff through complex implementations " Strong verbal and written communication skills required " Strong project, people and problem management skills including customer service, and conflict resolution skills. " Knowledge of Consumer Goods or Market Research Industry preferred Technical Requirements:" 7-10+ years experience leading large, multi-site IT initiatives " 3+ years experience leading large scale deployment efforts " Solid understanding of SDLC processes, code and configuration management " Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
