Location: Boston, MA 02118 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Sales/Retail/Business Development Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level:Entry Level Education Level: Bachelor's Degree GENERAL STATEMENT OF OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION: Provide specific administrative and project support for the Development Team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  · Provide administrative support on a variety of matters including meeting scheduling, logistics follow-up, data processing, mailings and development of materials· Deal with an extensive array of confidential matters involving staff, donors and volunteers related to the marketing and fundraising efforts of BMC· Assist in the preparation of documents, memos, reports and proposals including writing, editing and maintaining accurate paper and electronic files· Compile letters of acknowledgment for donors· Receive and screen visitors to the office, answer telephone and handle routine matters or refer inquiries to appropriate staff· Provide support for the activities of the various volunteer groups, including agenda preparation, scheduling, minutes and follow-up· Assist with basic prospect research functions and management of electronic data· Provide support to major BMC fundraising events such as the Annual Gala, Walk and Food for Thought Dinner · Participate in annual planning process and quality control initiatives to insure work released by this office meets the highest level of professional presentation· Perform office management and basic financial tasks related to the smooth operations of the office including procurement of supplies, payment of invoices and other financial functions· Perform other duties as required· Conforms to hospital standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, so that the best possible customer service and patient care may be provided.· Utilizes hospital's Values as the basis for decision-making and to facilitate the division's hospital mission.· Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures.  OTHER DUTIES: · Perform other duties as needed· Occasional evening and weekend hours required in support of fundraising events and community outreach initiatives The above statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties required of personnel so classified.  Employees may be assigned to other duties as required.       QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelors degree in any Liberal Arts field is preferred· Two or more years related experience· Desire to work in a service oriented environment· Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint· Proven track record in attention to detail and as a problem solver· Strong professional demeanor· Strong writing and quality control skills  Contact InformationCompany: Boston Medical Center Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: 50071641 Learn more about Boston Medical Center View all "Boston Medical Center" jobs
