Development Director

We are a  child welfare organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.  We provide counseling/case management services in the community and residential care for foster children.

 

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Development Director to coordinate our development, marketing and public relations efforts.  The ideal candidate will possess a related bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of five years of experience in development, to include annual, major and planning giving with individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies and special events.  This position requires excellent verbal and written skill, as well as the ability to relate to the Board of Directors, staff and Donors from all walks of life.  The successful candidate will be responsible to create and manage all aspects of a development program, to include:  Donor prospect identification and research   Prospect cultivation, solicitation and stewardship  Grant writing and management  Special events coordination  Act as community liaison and spokesperson for organization.  Serve as board liaison with regard to development activities.
