Digital Prepress & Data Specialist for Printing & Mailing Company

We have an immediate opening for an additional DIGITAL PRINT & PRE-PRESS SPECIALIST.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Prepare mailing list and graphic design files for various digital and offset printing equipment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Layout, image manipulation, prepress production, and list processing for digital color and black and white output.

DUTIES:
1. Manipulate and prepare artwork for press.
2. Database manipulation as well as variable data setups.

3. Process mailing lists utilizing Microsoft Excel and Accuzip.
4. Operation of Xerox digital printing press & Fiery rip.

5. Proofread artwork and copy.
6. Communicate ideas & suggestions to improve current processes
7. Maintain Knowledge of USPS postal regulations.

8. Maintain current knowledge of electronic pre-press and print technology

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

College degree from a 2 or 4 year school is preferred.  At least 1 to 5 years experience in the prepress field is required.

 

PERSONAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Must be experienced and proficient on PC computers and the following programs: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat with Pitstop, Word and Outlook (Preferred experience in Printshop Mail or other variable data software).

 

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel (Experience with Postal Software such as Accuzip, MailManager, Postalsoft, or SmartAdresser is a plus).

 

Must have a positive and professional attitude.



Must be self -motivated.



Must be able to handle an array of projects, and be flexible for changing priorities.

Must have excellent oral and written skills.



Must have strong attention to detail.



Must have excellent communication skills.

Must be able to work with little or no direct supervision.



Must work well both individually and as part of a team.



Must have scheduling flexibility to work overtime as required.
