Digital transition Project Coordinator

Yoh, a leading provider of talent, has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator, 2009 Digital Transition.
Essential Functions:
On February 17, 2009, television broadcasters across the United States will complete the Digital (DTV) Transition by shutting down their primary analog broadcast channels. This will mark an historic milestone for broadcast television not matched since the introduction of color television. The Digital Transition will require significant coordination and planning across the television industry to continue uninterrupted and uniform delivery of broadcast networks to home viewers. To that end, NBC Universal has launched a major initiative to insure a smooth transition for its NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks leading up to the analog shutdown.
Throughout 2009, NBC Universal will upgrade Network and O&O Station distribution equipment and provide technology recommendations to its affiliated local stations to meet its defined goals.
The Project Coordinator, 2009 Digital Transition will be responsible for critical tasks to insure the successful execution of NBC-Universal’s Digital Transition master plan. The Project Manager will work directly with NBC /Telemundo leadership and local affiliate stations to insure proper coordination and communication across cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions
· Work with stakeholders, technology, operations, and project teams to understand and translate requirements into an executable project plan.
· Coordinates meetings, track schedules and provides status reports to internal and external teams.
· Track portfolio of projects and report out on key deliverables and timelines.
· Manage the Affiliate Engineering Website to foster communication, maintain contact lists and track progress.
· Work directly with Local Affiliates Stations across to country to manage flow of information, remove barriers and drive progress to overall project goals.
Qualifications / Requirements:
· BS in engineering/computer science or BA in Communications or equivalent
· Minimum 3 years of project management experience
· Understanding of broadcast video technology and production processes, a must.
· Outstanding Microsoft office skills to including Excel, Visio and Project

· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently
