Come help us meet the demand and be part of one of the advertising industry's fastest growing segments!Description:The Director, Corporate Communications will work closely with the senior management team to orchestrate and oversee external communication strategy and execution in generating press and publicity surrounding the numerous and ongoing achievements of this rapidly-growing media company. The Director will be responsible for developing and communicating approved strategies and key messaging to internal staff as well as to the company's PR agency, in order to expand the volume of coverage the company achieves. The Director will also assist the SVP with the development and execution of internal communication activities, including the company newsletter, as well as with branding and marketing communication projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a balanced combination of strategic public relations expertise, preferably in a media environment and in support of B-to-B or trade communications, superior written and verbal communication skills, exceptional editorial skills and a track record of successful press relationships. Knowledge and expertise in marketing communications is a distinct plus.Responsibilities:' Work with senior management to develop and articulate macro press strategies, USPs and key messages/talking points.' Work with P&L leaders and staff management to identify and pursue appropriate press opportunities.' Oversee PR agency in responding to press requests, pursuing company-generated press initiatives and in generating 'sit-downs' with the media in the development of the company's/spokesperson's relationships with press representatives and to generate opportunities for future coverage/inclusion.' Maintain calendar of press activity and status for review/discussion with the management team.' Ensure that corporate spokespeople are aptly-trained in dealing with the press and are appropriately briefed and prepared to conduct interviews.' Manage dissemination of press and other macro-news to company personnel as well as to key partners such as advertisers and exhibitors and maintain records/clippings of Screenvision press coverage/growth as well as that of competitors/industry-allied companies.' Lead efforts to secure speaking opportunities for key personnel at industry conferences/trade shows.' Support SVP, Marketing & Research as directed in other communications areas. Qualifications:' Bachelor's Degree (communications/journalism major preferred).' 8+ years agency and/or media experience, with specific experience in B-to-B publicity generation and press communications.' Strong knowledge of the general media marketplace and the roll of national media and of out of home media in particular.' Ability to work independently and take ownership/leadership of the development and execution of ideas coming from a variety of sources.' Proven ability to interact with senior level management, internally and externally.' Very strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with solid strong organizational and interpersonal skills.' Proficient in Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).AA/EOE
