Director, Word of Mouth Marketing
Empower MediaMarketing has an immediate opening forDirector, Word of Mouth Marketing (WOM) in our Innovation Department.
Word of Mouth Marketing is alternative marketing strategy supported by research and technology that encourages consumers to dialogue about products and services. It is also the art and science of building active, mutually beneficial consumer-to-consumer and consumer-to-marketer communications using new and emerging methods of communication. Our Director WOM job vision is to position Empower MediaMarketing and our clients for the future – by developing capabilities of how new & emerging methods of communication (i.e. consumer-generated media, blogs, message boards, social networks, etc.) can be utilized in media plans.
Qualifications for Director, Word of Mouth Marketing:
Bachelor’s degree or we will entertain applicants of 5+years of relevant experience, demonstrated excellent media results AND being experienced in emerging communication and strategy development.3+ years experience developing marketing & public relations strategies in a marketing/agencyenvironment; demonstrated solid understanding of traditional marketing principles and how they apply to public relations and new and emerging media forms. Must have demonstrated experience in emerging communication and strategy development (i.e. utilizing consumer-generated media, blogs, message boards, social networks, etc.) Demonstrated initiative to research new ideas.Highly enthusiastic, passionate, curious, confident and tenacious in learning about the digital medium.Demonstrated strong analytical orientation and attention to detail to produce results.Demonstrated collaboration and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with clients & coworkersDigitally experienced and in-depth knowledge of office software such as e-mail, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrates effective business writing. Prepare specialty financial forecast as requested.Superior listening skills & creative problem resolution skillsDemonstrated ability to set objectives & goals for self & team, and develops tactics to achieve them.
