The AOPA Air Safety Foundation and AOPA Foundation are nonprofit, tax-exempt entities of AOPA that support various education and research initiatives on behalf of general aviation including air safety education, airport preservation, new pilot outreach, and improved public perception of aviation. As a Director of Development, major gift officer, your mission will be to raise the funds that fuel these initiatives.
 
To qualify, being a self-starter is a must with at least five years of applicable experience preferably in a fundraising or sales environment, with emphasis on being able to cultivate and close major gifts. Pilot certificate, general aviation specific background, or strong involvement in and passion for aviation preferred.
