Director of Marketing -  ECommerce

Asset Marketing Services is seeking a Director of ECommerce with a proven track record in leading ecommerce strategy within a direct marketing organization.  This individual will direct all online marketing activities for each of the company’s websites, www.govmint.com and www.stauer.com. 

Asset Marketing Services is a multi-channel direct marketer of collectible coins, watches & jewelry, and other consumer products.  The company has experienced tremendous growth in its online business.  We are currently experiencing record sales and profits.  We have just completed the two most profitable quarters in our company’s 23-year history.  Our performance runs counter to many of our competitors who are struggling in the current economic environment.  The company has a very dynamic and opportunistic culture and seeks the right individual to help achieve its aggressive e-commerce goals.  This newly created position reports directly to the CMO.

 

 

Position Description

 

·  Guide the strategic direction of all online marketing.

·  Responsible for managing the online P&L for each business unit.  Accountable for achieving sales and profit objectives.

·  Identify new opportunities to improve our sites’ competitive position and increase sales & profits.

·  Stay current on industry trends and technology developments.

·  Lead all activities related to SEM, SEO, affiliate marketing, email marketing, etc.

·  Coordinate marketing efforts with off-line channels

·  Track and report on results/metrics.  Ensure that results are consistent with company profit and LTV goals.

·  Work with Merchandising, Creative, IT, and the rest of the Ecommerce team on the development and maintenance of web content.

·  Manage relationships with outside vendors.  Work with vendors to achieve corporate goals.

·  Partner with IT and other internal departments to maximize the potential of each online business – sales & profits and customer satisfaction. 

 


Requirements

 

· 5+ years of Ecommerce strategy & planning experience.

· Strong direct marketing experience required.

· Strong knowledge of website analytics tools.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Excellent decision making skills.

·   Strong leadership and management skills.

Four Year Degree in Marketing or similar discipline required.
