The Director of Operations ensures efficient and profitable operations and manages production staff and resources to ensure that the expectations of our clients, the needs of our staff, and the financial requirements of the company are met. 

 

Key Accountabilities: 

 

Office Operational Leadership

·  Assist the Managing Director in ensuring profitable annual results by analyzing monthly P&Ls and taking appropriate action where required.

·  Recommend and institute operational changes to increase efficiencies and quality and/or decrease costs

·  Ensure that the office runs smoothly

 

Production Department Leadership

·  Manage internal and external production resources to ensure flawless execution of client deliverables.

·  Ensure project fiscal accountability.

o  Supervise production budgets

o  Ensure financial documentation required for revenue recognition

o  Ensure internal resources are given priority

o  Ensure accurate timesheets.

·  Advise Managing Director with regard to staffing models, hiring needs and terminations

·  Participate in and lead regular meetings and calls to capture best practices

 

Revenue Growth

·  Assist in new business development strategy to drive office growth.

·  Participate in the proposal process to ensure that resources are assigned and scheduled effectively, costs are monitored and appropriate budgets are developed.

 

Staff Development

·  Hire, train, manage and develop production staff to ensure office has talent required

·  Deliver annual performance reviews for production and office staff to ensure clarity of goals, effectiveness of feedback and to inspire career growth.

 

Requirements:

 

·  At least twelve (12) years of production experience with at least three in the industry.

·  Prior management experience desirable, including budget and financial management.

·  Demonstrated leadership skills and competencies: Business vision, accountability for results, client focus, developing others, team leadership, cross-organization collaboration.
