Director of Procurement

Responsibilities include:

Lead and set direction for the procurement of materials and services for all business units Responsible for the procurement activity encompassing sourcing strategy, planning and execution Prepare and send out request for quotes (RFQs) for all requests to qualified vendors Create purchase orders for all requests and sign all POs within given scope Provide contractual agreements/documents for review and execution Set-up and qualify new vendors within the corporate requirements Create vendor RFPs as requested, set cost reduction targets and negotiate business terms with the chosen vendor Create and implement purchasing strategy in line with corporate objective and unit goals Negotiates long-term contracts with suppliers Maintains the highest ethical practices and ensures fairness in all transactions and contacts

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance/related field. Advanced degree a plus 10+ years purchasing/procurement experience Auditing experience a plus Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong organization and communication skills Proven effective negotiation skills Proven expertise in successfully managing and executing multiple, large procurement projects/contracts/negotiations Strong contract knowledge a plus Strong analytical skills Strong background in developing processes and procedures Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business, financial and economic ramifications of various procurement actions and alternatives in order to recommend appropriate actions Ability to deliver effective presentations and written communications to various audiences including Senior Management and Executive Officers Ability to work under pressure Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance
