Job Category : Sales/Retail/Business Development Reference Code: : 0805546 Directory Telephone Sales Rep FTLD (RR) We're the new AT&T, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.JOB DUTIES Duties may include but are not limited to the following:1. Initiates telephone calls for the purpose of selling advertising in Traditional and Non-Traditional directory publications.2. Develop selling strategies prior to contacting designated business (Advertisers and Non-Advertisers) using a variety of visual and other sales aids.3. Responsible for meeting aggressive sales quotas and objectives. Responsible for posting daily sales results.4. Schedules, organizes and prioritizes work to meet customer and directory deadline scheduling demands promptly, accurately and efficiently.5. Prepares simple layouts and background information, as basis for recommending advertising programs and listing arrangements to meet the needs of each business. 6. Prepares forms and letters, handles detailed paper work and executes contracts for billing. Prepares necessary paper work for publishing and billing the advertisement.7. Works with reference material including sales practices and tariff regulations.8. Constant daily contacts with new and/or existing customers. Work requires a high degree of accuracy.9. Job is non-routine and requires flexibility to switch from handling customer calls to detailed paper work, etc.10. Work may confine employee to work position for extended period of time. May work in one stationary position depending on individual's assignment. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Test Requirements: See Non-Management Job Title Test Matrix and Test Study Guides (www.asisvcs.com/bellsouth/testtips.html)Job Performance and Attendance Record: Satisfactory performance and attendance in present job.Specifics for the Job: Normally works Monday through Friday; overtime and weekend work as required. ADDITIONAL FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED 1. Outstanding performance rating in present job. 2. Sales experience. 3. Ability to speak languages other than English. 4. Computer experience; knowledge of Company systems, e.g., ACCESS. Minimum Requirements include: At least 6 months sales experience; strong communication & negotiation skills; Internet proficiencyTRAINING Satisfactory completion of on-the-job and/or classroom training as required. Individuals holding this job title will be required to perform the above job duties with or without "reasonable accommodations."
