E-Learning Instructional Designer/Web Developer

 

This role is responsible for the design and web development of the MediaBank client extranet site. The role is also responsible for working in conjunction with the Project Manager, the subject matter experts and the Media Developer for the creation of the course content for the site environment and for loading this content to the Moodle server.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

··Consult on the development of effective instruction materials and interactions that match the objectives and content of the training and that accurately test the learners' ability to meet the objectives, as directed by management.
·Work with the Graphics/Media Developer to succinctly describe the work needed and review the production of course content materials, as directed by management.
·Report the status- of- development to projected hours, on schedule for deliveries per the Project Plan, to Project Manager. Report any variance as soon as it is discovered, to minimize negative impact to the project.
·Identify add-on work or out-of-scope work.
·Responsible for administration of all security functions for the extranet site

-Manage registration of new accounts, user profiles and credentials; administration of Moodle specific roles and course key management.

-Addition/ modification/ editing of Moodle standard blocks to the site; including management or roles for each block

-Development of custom pages and additional custom development work for eLearning site as directed by Project Manager, including design work as needed for implementation.

-Responsible for management of all necessary technical updates to the Moodle site needed

-Packaging and uploading of all Captivate course content to the Moodle site

-Overall design management for look and feel of Moodle theme, look and feel, keeping cohesive design elements from MediaBank collateral.

-Implementation of links from Moodle sties to outside sites as directed and as needed

-Troubleshooting of technical issues as needed
