E-Mail Program Specialist-Marketing Dept.
The Men’s Wearhouse is looking for an Email Program Specialist to work at its Marketing Department offices in San Francisco, CA.
The Email Program Specialist is responsible for efficient and accurate execution and distribution of email marketing communications, across multiple brands and for multiple campaigns, achieving high deliverability and meeting marketing objectives. The Email Program Specialist is part of a cross-functional team that includes marketing strategy, creative and data services, and is responsible for communicating and implementing best practices in order to help the MW Group build and improve its email marketing effectiveness.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Setting up email campaigns in Interact (setting business rules, setting up dynamic content, etc.); executing testing plans (working with Pivotal Veracity to ensure that templates are delivered, reviewing, proofing, and providing feedback); and using our email service provider (ESP) to deploy campaigns (launching, confirming distribution, etc.).
· Building (cutting and coding) emails in HTML and text, following all best practices for email creation in both coding and deliverability.
· Managing subscriber databases, including creating and updating lists; segmenting data for targeted email campaigns; and performing periodic list hygiene.
· Performing regular subscriber analysis and competitive research; reporting findings to key stakeholders; and implementing improvements.
· Troubleshooting issues—working with multiple operators researching and resolving all types of issues, for example: offline opt-out requests, customer service issues with coupons, etc.
· Coordinating with ecommerce sites regarding online data collection and compliance with online marketing best practices.
· Developing and managing email production schedules.
Qualifications
· Must be an organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working in a fast-paced team environment
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; keen attention to detail
· Strong analytical skills
· Expert in HTML programming; understands the difference between coding for web vs. email
· Strong knowledge of email marketing and email best practices
· Proficiency in SQL a plus
· Efficient in Microsoft Excel for managing data and performing quantitative analysis
· 1-3 years experience (recent college grads with the above skills may apply)
· Familiarity with Responsys Interact is a plus
· Bachelor’s degree
