Medical Editorial Strategy Director-Oncology  $150K-170K.

 

Our client, an International Corporation, is a leading global bio/pharmaceutical services organization, providing a broad range of knowledge-based contract research, medical marketing and consulting services to the worldwide pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We are seeking an experienced medical communications editor who will be responsible for Editorial leadership, content development, project management, supervision and mentoring.

 

Responsibilities include:

 Developing editorial strategy.Development of scientific messagingScientific research and content development for assigned editorial itemsProviding recommendations to client.Scheduling of projects.Oversight of editorial aspects of program.Briefing internal writers and freelancers.Ensuring content meets client’s objectives.Mentoring of junior writers.Liaison with client and faculty regarding approvals and project issues.Lead scientific and editorial strategy.

 

Qualifications include:

 

·  Solid scientific background.

·   Ability to interpret and organize data

·  Specific and detailed therapy area knowledge in oncology

·  Ability to gain in-depth disease, market and product understanding.

·  Excellent medical writing skills, across a range of communications vehicles.

·  Strong project management skills

·  Ability to brief and review the work of other writers.

·  Ability to mentor more junior writers

·  Strong client and faculty liaison skills.

·  Excellent presentation skills

·  Proactive, solution orientated approach.

·  College degree (PhD or MD preferred) or equivalent in life sciences.

·  5+ years of experience in editorial in medical communications.

 



Client Services Director - $140K - $155K

marketing and consulting services to the worldwide pharmaceutical biotechnology and

medical device industries.  Developing and managing client relationships for assigned

accounts.  Maximizing revenues and profitability.  Identifying account growth and new

business opportunities, developing innovative and strategic solutions to meet client needs.

 

Experience: Prefer degree in life sciences. Healthcare industry or relevant experience delivering client solutions in medical communications. New business development/sales experience in a medical communications agency Leadership qualities. Teamwork. Strategic business awareness. Influencing others Excellent communications – verbal and written skills. Good understanding of the drug development process and product marketing strategy Good understanding of pharmaceutical industry structure, full range of medical communications Able to understand client structure, also ability to gain in-depth disease, market and product understanding. Good understanding of health care environment.
