Seeking an experienced, professional to plan, coordinate and implement fundraising strategies to cultivate, develop, and manage donors and contributions to support its current and future programs.
Summary:
· Executes fundraising program through coordination with Board, COO, staff and volunteers.
· Assures development and maintenance of appropriate fund raising systems including but not limited to volunteer and donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing and donor recognition.
· Maintains accountability and compliance standards for donors and fundraising in accord with internal processes.
· Provides oversight of all of the PMIEF’s fund development activities, implements the day-to-day operations of the development function, and monitors adequacy of activities through coordination with Board, COO, staff and volunteers.
· Coordinates with other professionals in regard to compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, maintains accountability standards to donors and ensures compliance with code of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct for fundraising, including the ability to respect and protect confidentialities of both the donors and PMIEF.
· Appropriately represents the Foundation externally to donors, prospects, regulators, development committee(s) and fundraising volunteers alone and in conjunction with Board Directors, COO, staff and other volunteers.
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent desired
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to build relationships and utilize finesse; public speaking ability a plus; must have attention for detail and ability to edit.
· Three to five years working experience, with a successful performance record, in a fundraising role or related field with knowledge and experience in the nature and dimensions of philanthropy, ethics, motivations for giving and volunteering, research and cultivation practices, and standard fundraising techniques.
· Experience soliciting and implementing in-kind gifts is a plus.
· Self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and handle diverse, multiple activities simultaneously, able to work with limited supervision and/or direction, and able to focus intensely on work.
· Strong interpersonal, team building and teamwork including effective meeting participation skills. Track record of building and sustaining positive relationships with senior management and preferably with individuals from diverse cultures and locations.
· Strong listening and data collection skills with ability to find common ground and resolution.
· Direct successful experience working with senior executives a plus.
