It is important to us that you excel personally and professionally while you put your career in drive with Ford Motor Company.The North America Employee Communications Manager leads a staff of personnel to deliver strategic messaging to employees and retirees to both inform and motivate supporting our One Team objectives.  Employee Communications has an objective to be a benchmark within 5 years (2012) and both strategic and operational planning by the North America Employee Communications Manager are critical to achieving this goal.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Developing and implementing a strategy in North America (aligned with global strategy) to make Ford Employee Communications a benchmark.  Support development of and lead implementation of a 5-year plan for leadership among both salaried and hourly employees carefully assessing our current situation, resources required and effective delivery mechanisms.•Overseeing daily operations of mass media efforts including Ford World, FCN Online, Employee Network and Blue Oval Connect email for retirees.  This involves content planning, editorial supervision, staff management and strategic planning to keep the efforts fresh and relevant to employees and retirees; aligning content with global colleagues; and, developing plans to increase the reach of employee communications tools.•Working closely with Communications colleagues to ensure proper internal communications plans exist for product launches and other major areas (i.e., financial reports, corporate events).Requirements include but are not limited to: •Bachelor Degree in Communications •8-10 years experience in the Communications field, with at least 3 in Employee Communications •Strategic Thinking and Planning •Team Leadership/Development Skills •Comfort with key Digital Tools •Strong Editorial Abilities (writing and proofing)We have a commitment to our products and customers, but also know that our employees are the driving force behind our success.
