Employee Relations Manager

GENERAL:

Responsible for developing, interpreting, and recommending employee relation program goals and objectives, policies and procedures and courses of action.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

·  Develops, implements, and administers (through a variety of techniques such as on-site visits) the Management-labor relations area of the employee relation program in an effort to improve employee relations.

·  Assures that the company is in compliance with EEOC, ISO, Family Leave, ADA and Workers Compensation regulations and policies.

·  Formulates and recommends to management employee relations goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations.

·  Prepares, maintains and modifies appropriate personnel manuals as required.

·  Consults with supervisors and makes recommendations concerning employee relation matters including review of supporting documentation of terminations.

·  Maintains a complete file for all employee relation matters including but not limited to all matters of EEOC cases.

·  Monitors Workers Compensation aggregate levels with respect to employee Workers Compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier.

·  Prepares and complete EEO-1 reporting.

·  Establishes a working relationship with Management in order to accomplish specific goals as directed by the Director of Human Resources.

·  Conducts an ongoing needs assessment for all phases of Employee Relations development.

·  Conducts grievance hearings and activities.

·  Performs additional duties as may be assigned.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in related Personnel/Human Services field preferred but not required.

Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.

*Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

At least five (5) years experience in a Human Services or related field.
