Entry-Level Web Designer / HTML Coder

A position is available for a knowledgeable web designer. You will assist our team with the production of many web based projects, including email marketing campaigns / websites / and website edits. You should be a fast learner and understand the flow of production from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be able to work with our web developer to integrate smart designs and user interfaces with dynamic and static content. The position will require creativity at times, and straightforward bang-it-out production at others.

requirements:
• ability to hand-code tight HTML layouts without the use of a WYSIWYG editor when required
• knowledge of CSS
• awareness of, and ability to adhere to latest web standards while mainting some backwards-compatibility
• proficiency in Adobe CS – esp. Fireworks/DW/Flash
• a desire to adhere to strict workflow guidelines and established schematics
• a passion for building the web, pride in your work, and a good attitude

pluses:
• knowledge of javascript
• knowledge of databases – esp. MySQL
• knowledge of internet marketing

requirements for application:
• demonstration of ability: portfolio with relavent samples in the areas listed above under requirements. Portfolio does not need to be extensive; we are looking for quality over quantity.
