Executive Director of Marketing and Communications

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) seeks an experienced marketing professional to lead its Marketing & Communication department.

 

The Executive Director of Marketing & Communications reports to the Vice Chancellor for University Relations and is responsible for coordinating the contributions of the University’s creative design team, its office of public affairs, the sports information office, and its printing/copying operations. SIUE has had tremendous recent success with increasing awareness of the quality of its programs and of its contributions to the quality of life in the region. The new Executive Director will build upon those accomplishments and create new opportunities to “tell the SIUE story” to external and internal audiences.

 

Candidates for this position are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related area. Master’s degree in a relevant field is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have at least 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education marketing and communications including exposure to integrated marketing, advertising management, public affairs, and management of creative resources. Talented marketing professionals with similar experience in related service industries will be considered for this position.
