Experienced Web Designer

We’re looking for a Web Designer with skills (CSS and HTML skills)

We’re seeking a full-time, experienced Web designer who thrives in a high-impact environment. You will work as part of a hyper-creative team with the goal of producing stunning Web designs that make our competitors weep in frustration.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design clean, pixel-perfect Web-site mockups

• Work with a team to implement these mockups on a variety of platforms

 

Additional Responsibilities:

• Act as a creative resource for the Web team

• Help to refine and improve the production process

• Coordinate version control of design files and assets

 

Requirements: 

· A portfolio of work demonstrating excellent visual design

· Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, Web standards and usability

· Ability to implement Web site concepts within parameters provided

· Solid understanding of design pitfalls, especially with regards to Web standards and browser compatibility issues

· Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Photoshop to create pixel-perfect mockups

· Expertise in hand-coding XHTML/CSS to create semantic, standards-compliant versions of your designs is a huge plus

 

Experience: 

· BS/BA/AD degree

· 3 years of Web design experience

· 3 years of professional Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator experience

· 3 years of professional HTML/CSS experience

 

Technical:

Must have strong working knowledge of the following:

• Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

• Strict XHTML

• CSS-based table-less layouts

• Cross browser compatibility and understanding of accessibility

Should have working knowledge in some of these applications:

• Microsoft Visual Studio .NET

• Adobe Dreamweaver

• Microsoft Expression Web

• SoureSafe/Version Control

 

Interpersonal: 

• Keen attention to detail

• The ability to use exceptional organizational, written and verbal skills to be an active diplomat and problem solver

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong desire to learn and willingness to take initiative

• Must be able to work within a multi-segmented team
