Investment Writer

Purpose of the Position:

Responsible for writing and editing quality investment and portfolio commentary for retail mutual fund shareholders and professionals who communicate with this audience. The position will work closely with a staff of Portfolio Analysts and Investment Management to ensure the projecting of Thomas White’s investment management strengths.

Responsibilities will include:

1.  Writing commentary and content that is compliant with SEC regulations.

Key written output could include:

· Mutual fund market commentary and shareholder reporting

· Quarterly portfolio review letters communicating strategy and performance

· Written commentary on market events

· Writing content for separately managed clients

· Producing content for firm’s website and publications

2. Maintaining a high level of familiarity with investments markets and funds

3. Editing commentary developed by others, being sure their message maintains the firm’s professional standards and is appropriate for their targeted audience.

Qualifications:College degree; MBA or CFA a strong positive A minimum of three years in identical role or eight years in journalism, English or marketing Posses superior writing and editing skills Understand fundamental investment and portfolio concepts Capable of working effectively in a collaborative environment Capable of working with deadlines and managing multiple priorities Organizational and project management skills Five-years experience in a writing/editing role Three -years experience writing & editing for an asset manager
