Group Manager Media Analysis

MANAGEMENT & REPORTING STRUCTURE:This position reports to the Director of Marketing Analytics and has three direct reports.POSITION DESCRIPTION:This position is responsible and oversees the media analysis function including broadcast, radio, internet, and direct mail to assess the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Partners with Media department to ensure the most effective media mix and distribution methods are utilized.- Makes recommendations to improve market performance using multiple channels of media including recommendations of which media is most effective for each market to improve productivity and efficiency.- Responsible for extracting accurate conclusions, identifying trends, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas and improve processes, ROI, and profitability of programs utilizing multiple media channels.- Makes recommendations for new markets based on existing analysis and research.- Responsible for managing the monitoring of media performance on a daily basis and analysis of reports.- Oversees monthly reporting for Senior Management on the effectiveness of multiple channels of media.- Oversees market studies to determine the most effective media mix and distribution methods to reach potential customers.- Determine marketing plans and strategies that are supported by demographic research to evaluate and understand core customer groups, retain them, and attract new customers as well as the right media mix to drive sales and ROI.- Responsible for the creation of template reports, generation of ad hoc reports.- Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: - BS Degree, 5+ year’s experience, preferably in a media or analytics environment.- Proficiency in following analysis areas: financial, coupon, competitor, and media analysis.- Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions.- Retail knowledge/experience, familiarity with Claritas demographics and Oracle-based systems a plus.- Excellent knowledge of PC and Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. MAC experience a plus.- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills a must.- Ability to do administrative work such as filing and retrieving ads.- Familiarity with working in a large corporate environment.- Maintains attention to detail, completing multiple and/or repetitive tasks.
